  1. Newbridge Mill
    Long ago when the wool was cut from the sheep, it was carried to Newbridge Mill to be spun into cloth. First of all they put it in between large rollers which tore it into pieces.
    It was then put into a machine and this made it into rolls. In another machine it was spun into thread. It was then wound around bobbins, which were long pieces of timber with metal ends to keep the thread in.
    The ends were stuck into the ground and the ends of the thread were tied to a machine. Then all the bobbins used to start spinning round very quickly and the machine took the thread.Other threads were moved across by a shuttle and the cloth
