  1. About forty years ago Mr O'Connell lived in Kilscannell. About five o'clock on a winter night he was going over to Michael O'Conner for he was buying some pigs from him.
    He left O'Connor's and on his way home he had to pass Kilscannell churchyard and there he met a big tall man. he got frightened but walked on and the tall man followed him until he went to lift the latch of his door and at that minute the tall man tipped him and said the following words: "It a few days you will be with me my dear man"
    He went in and was not able to close
