People say if it was in a field you plucked a flower or dug a sod no grass would grow in that field for the rest of the year Long ago in the parish of Drumcollogher people made crosses from rushes on St Bridgets eve and hung them on the celings of the house and out offices. But that custom is now dying out in the country
