    Tullaghreine.
    My home is in the townland of Tullaghreine the parish of Carrigtwohill and the Barony of Barrymore.
    There are only six families comprising twenty three people in the townland.
    All the houses are slated with the exception of one and that is tiled.
    The name Tullaghreine means the little hill of the sun.
    It probably got its name from the great house on the little hill.
    There is only one man in the district over seventy. He hasn't any Irish.
    Long ago there were fewer houses. There are two ruins on this townland one was the residence of people named Barry and was called Barry Lodge and the other ruin which is in the same grounds and must have belonged to them is said to
