    barrels sprayed. John Sheehy and Michael Sheehy own a spraying maching between them. In gardens spraying is done by means of a small machine carried on the back and worked by the hands. Lightning too causes it. Some old farmers say they can smell the blight such evenings.
    The early potatoes are often dug the first week of July. Enough for the dinner is dug each day. These are
