  1. Once upon a time there were four men an Irish man, an English man, a Scotch man, and a Welsh man who worked together and were great pals.
    One day the Welsh man died and they mourned him greatly. They decided to erect a tomb-stone over his grave. They sent away for a catalogue of tomb stones but not one of the whole lot would suit the Irish man so then they agreed to put the money down into the coffin.
    The English man took five gold sovereigns out of his pocket and left it down on the coffin, and the Scotch man left down a five pound note saying that he was sorry that he had no gold.
    When it came to the Irish man's time he expressed his regret that he had neither gold nor notes but taking his cheque book out of his pocket he wrote out a
