    People took out lighted blessed candles + shook holy water in the gardens to ensure a good crop. Bonfires were lighted all over the country also & youngsters & grown-ups danced and played about them. Holy water was also shsken on the animals in the name of the Father, & of the Son & of the Holy Ghost.
