There is a fort situated in a farm owned by Mr Maurice Pearse in Killeacle. One morning two men went out to work before their breakfast. They were coming back about nine o' clock. When they were passing the fort a woman came out and offered them their breakfast. The first man refused but the second man took the offer and went into the fort.
