- Long ago it is said there lived a man in Banna in the parish of Ardfert. His name was Thomas Lawlor. He was known as to be one of the most famous singers in Kerry.
His great songs were known as "The bellows of our country's forge. The song he often sang to cheer the hearts of his comrades.
