In the Shades of Bellview (contd)
At the cross below the forge
We spied our true love's coffin
And they carrying it o'er the road
How dark I thought the vision
As her father came in view
I then had to quit, down by the smith
And leave loved Mary in Bellview.
The above song was composed by Joe Kelly, Eyrecourt in memory of a touching romance of his early days. He is still living in Eyrecourt and is a native of the place.
