There was a miserly man once who married a clever wife. She humoured his miserly ways and agreed to save save save. Unknown when she ate her fill but he in the meantime was wasting away. When he was very weak she brought a beautiful cooked meal to him and asked him to eat it which he could not He then concluded when she sat down and at the meal heartily that she had been deceiving him and this was the last straw All he could say was "é go leír é go leír" when the people asked what did he mean by that she said that he was leaving all of his property to herself. - Faisnéiseoir
