  1. There is only one tailors in this parish. His name is Lawrence Leamy. A loom is the thing the wearer has for the weaving . Some tailors buy the cloth and the people the makings of a suit from them; the tailor then makes the suit for them. There was a weaver in Mamone long ago named William Flaherty . The people had certain clothes for Sunday and other rougher or more worn ones for weekdays. The new used wear a bawner and do still in some places. There were two weavers in Killamanagh and one between Caherlistrane village and Killamanagh. Hughes and Lawlers were the Killamanagh weavers. There used be linen wheels also, and the people made linen shirts and all kinds of linen things. Down at Boyner in Beaghbeg there are linen goods 100 years old
