- St. Cummin.
Many hundred years ago some fishermen from Kilcummin were out fishing. They noticed a large timber box floating on the water. They also noticed that the lid of the box was a little open. They brought it ashore and opened it. What do you think they found but a little baby boy sleeping peacefully within. The baby was brought to the priest and he called him Cummin. The little boy grew into manhood. He was gentle, pious and loved by everybody. He was very fond of visiting a well in the vicinity. This well sprung up along the sea shore very near the spot where he was found. Ever since that well is called, "Tobar Cussin."
It is a holy well and people go there and do stations for sick people. If the person is to be cured a little trout will appear in the well. If the person is to die the little trout will(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
