- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Another day Canon Foley went out to say Mass and whatever happened there was no boy there to serve Mass for him. So he had to go and get Cheevers. Cheevers came anyhow and answered Mass for him anyhow. When it came for him to ring the bell he didn't ring it at all and the priest turned around and beckoned at him to ring the bell, but Cheevers shook his fist at the priest as much as to say "Don't say aword." Well when Mass was over the priest asked him why didn't he ring the bell when the time came for him to ring it. "Well" says Cheevers "I couldn't because right under the altar there were two mice playing and I had right gas looking at them and I was afraid that if I rang the bell I'd frighten them and then all the fat would be in the fire."(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
