My father William Driscoll of Islandganniv, Listowel told me that the tinkers used to travel in a blue car and they used to have an ass pulling it. They used to travel from town to town begging as they would go and they used to sleep under the blue car at night. They would get a gwall of straw and lie down on it and cover themselves with a sack.
My father William Driscoll of Islandganniv, Listowel told me that there was a p tramp named Colonel O'Sullivan. He used to be travelling around from place to place. he used to have about ten medals hanging on to his coat. He used to say that he was out in the Crimean war.
