    There was an old house on the top of Corryholman hill and there was school taught in it.

    Each scholar had to bring a turf with him. There would be a good fire on the hearth.
    Mrs Glen was the teacher and she came down to teach from Ballyhea in a trap. There was another school at Dunacre near Kingscourt. The masters name was Master Carroll from Cornavan.

  2. Edenagully school was built in the year 1838. There was a man named Edward Curran as a night watch-man. He got home the night of the big wind on his hands and knees. When he was coming home he met a man on horse-back and he was wearing a high hat.
    The first teacher was Master Curran. He had ten pounds yearly. The second teacher was Master Clarke. He had fifteen pounds yearly.
