    Moore went in. They fought all day until sun set and the bailiff had to withdraw without evicting the tenant. They brought a Scotch Regiment of soldiers to evict Mahon and they evicted him. Mahon lay in wait for three days for the agent to shoot him in Loughlin Nolans sand pit and the agent got word of him and went home through Garryhundon to Garryhill. Mahon went to America afterwards.

  2. A family named Lynch in the townland of Ballybeg were evicted from their home. There were six little children and their mother living in the house. Their father was dead. The agent came to her one day and said the farm would go to loss and she said she would have enough money to pay the rent. The agent insisted that it would go to loss and said it he would put her out. He put her out of her home with her six children one only a baby. She received the last sacraments on the roadside and the woman was then carried to an outhouse where she died. The children
