- There was a man who lived in the town of Longford. His name was Pat Molloy. His father kept a twine shop in Water Street Longford. He was married to a girl called Lizzie Casey of Ardagh in 1800. She had a family of ten children five boys, and five girls. The eldest child was a boy he was born in 1802. When he was fourteen years of age, he was sent out to work with a farmer's son. He remained with the farmer for fourteen years. One Saturday evening when he was paid his money he left the farmer and drowned himself in the Camlin River. When his father heard he was gone from the farmer, he notified the police and they started to search for him in the Camlin When they were searching for him at the bridge, they got a piece of paper stuck to a stone and writing on it.
