  1. An Old Story 6
Once upon a time there was a man who used be going cuairdeact. One night when he was coming home he met a man who asked him where he was going. He thought for a while and then answered "there is a man sick in that house above" Then the man went off.
When the man came home he told his wife the story, she said to stop talking and come to bed. In the middle of the night he heard a voice saying there was a man who wanted him. He did not stir. When he woke in the morning he went to see the sick man and he was dead.
He told the priest and the priest told him to stay at home every night. So he never went "cuairdeact" since.
