  1. Old Graveyard
    There is an old graveyard near Fourmile called "Kilcolgan" or in Irish "Cillseogán". There was never any church adjoining this graveyard. Two monks who were travelling around and died in the neighbourhood, were buried in this certain field. Since then all those who die around the locality are buried there. This is how it became a graveyard first.
    There is a man buried there who was hanged off the Bridge in Newcastle because he killed a landlord.
