north is is said that the day will be fine; but if the clouds are fleecy and moving very quickly a storm is near.
If we see a rainbow in the morning it is said that the day would be fine; but a rainbow in the evening is a sure sign of heavy rain.
If the hills or mountains appears ti be near you can expect rain, but if they appear to be far away it is a sign of fine weather.
If a fog is parted on the mountain rain is near hand, if it is together and even, it is for fine weather. If smoke goes up straight out of the chimney it is a sign of fine weather; but if it blows down on the ground, it is a sure sign of (fine) rain.
