  1. There lived in Kiltinan one time a man named Micky Cooney, who was a little crippled man and he used to go around on crutches. One evening as he was walking down the road, he heard a car coming, and he hid in the ditch. As the car passed by he made a spring with his crutches and got up on the back of the car. It was an ass and car, and the ass was tired, and the man was trying to keep him going. All of a sudden Micky said "drive on the old ass" in the voice of a dead person. The driver looked around and when he saw the little man, leapt off the car and ran away.
