  1. Once upon a time there was a man who was very fond of shooting rabbits. So one day he went out with his gun and dog; he was very fond of this dog, and would not give him away for anything, when a rabbit was shot, the dog would run and bring it back to his master. This went on for a long time, but one day the dog got in line with the gun and was accidently shot, much to the grief of his master. But what was the man's surprise to see the rabbit turning back and trying to haul the dog back to its master.
