  1. Poll na Broine, A place in the river Anner below Clare Castle where a man named Browne was drowned
    Pairc an cnaire got its name from a worm called the cnare, which was in that field, near Clare Castle. If the cows met with this worm it would sting them and from this sting the cow would die. The people used keep an ass going with the cows. When the ass smelled this worm he would follow it and kill it.
    Ráithín, In this field is a small fort. In the Black and Tan trouble it was used as a dug-out.
