  1. At Tullow, at a fort joining Luke Larkin's and Paddy Keenehan's farms, there were blasting operations in progress near the fort. The workmen were making a hole in the rock and they had driven an iron wedge into it, when the maid called them to dinner. When they were coming back again they saw a little woman pouring a gallon of water on the rock, and when they went over to the rock the woman was gone and the iron could not be removed. It remains there still.
