    all migrate, some of them remain. The curlew builds her nest in marshy land, and she lays about five eggs. The Pheasant builds her nest on a ditch in a remote place. Crows build their nests on high trees Jackdaws build their nests in ruined walls and in chimney tops.
    Magpies, Blackbirds, Thrushes, wrens, Robins, Linnets, and cuckoo build their nests in bushes. The cuckoo does not build any nest, but she lays her eggs in others birds nests, she is too lazy.
    Starlings, sparrows, and stone cutters, build their nests in holes in the wall. Plovers, larks, and snipe build their nests out in the open fields. The wren's nest is roofed leaving a small hole in the side as an entrance. The wren lays from ten to twelve brown dotted eggs. It takes only a forthnight of the wren to hatch her eggs. Some boys are very fond of birds and would not touch her nest, others would not mind in the least
