    An old man named Tommy Finn used to visit this locality also and he used to sell, ware, collars, studs, laces, pins reels of thread, collar pins, ornaments pins and safety pins. If the night was wet he used to stay in a neighbour's house and up to midnight he used to tell many stories of the queer things that happened to him.
    An old woman from near Charleville Co COrk used to wander this way occasionally, and whenever she came she used to stay with a friend of hers in Six-Mile Bridge - now called Lower Granges - She used to sell pins, toys, brooches, laces, combs and ornamental pins -
    "Meggie The Eels" used to come from Bruff every fortnight to Lough Gur where she used to buy eels at the ell weir at the foot of Canragin Hill
