- About 200 years ago there was a man whose name was John O'Donnell who lived at the Spa Ardagh. After doing a hard day's work he sat down beside a wall to rest himself and to sleep.
While he was asleep a lizard went into his mouth. When he awoke he felt very sick. He went home and could not eat. He went to all the doctors and no one of them could cure him.
