  1. Once upon a time there lived in Elm Hill a widow and her five sons. The widow knew no language but Irish. One day a travelling tailor came in to her. She knew what he wanted and she gave him an old coat to sew After a while he ran short of thread. He asked the old woman for Thread She thought it was troidh he wanted and she said he would get troidh enough when her sons would come in. When they came in she told them what had happened and they gave the old man a good beating.
