  1. Once there lived in Riddlestown a farmer who had four or five cows and among them was a black one:
    One month the farmer was very much surprised at the little amount of milk he got from them.
    He had a chat with his servant about it and the servant told him that a woman in the parish (who was supposed to be evil eyed) asked him when was the black cow calving and he told her.
    When that night arrived the farmer and his servant said that they would watch the woman's house and see what would happen.
    After dark they saw her inside closing all the windows except one which she forgot. They looked in and they saw her pulling the spaneels (which hung at the back of the door) as if milking and this is what she was saying "All to me" "All to me" and all the time milk was flowing into a bucket.
    They came home and when they went to milk the cow next morning she had
