  1. There are not many old grave yards in my parish at the present day the only one I know is St Abbey's well graveyard.
It is situated in the parish of Glountane and in the townland of Bally Gobnait.
The grave yard is still in use and many people are being buried still there.
A great number of crosses and head stones are erected so that each family may know their own graves.
This grave yard is so called because a Holy well blessed by St Gobnaith in the centre of it.
This is an old story told about this grave yard.
One morning a boy was going by this graveyard having with him a cow which he had stolen.
On his way he met a man coming towards him. They stopped talking for a while.
