  1. During the time of the land war there lived a man named Daly a couple of miles to the west of Durrus. This man had a large farm, he had a very large rent to pay, and he could not meet his demands. When the time came to pay the rent, he could pay only half of it, but the land lord would not accept it.
    Some time after the land went to Daly's house with the bailiffs. He told Daly to pay the full rent or leave the place. At this time Daly and some other men were threshing with
