    1. Cournaglea is the name of my townland and the name of my Parish is Boyle, The meaning of Cournaglea is "Cumhair na lía" (Stone of Destiny.) There are twelve families in my home district. The approximate number of people is forty-four. Thatched houses are most common locally. There are a few people over seventy but they can neither tell stories in English nor Irish. The land is hilly and boggy. There is but one ruin in my townland. Some of the people emigrated but died in exile.
