- (continued from previous page)1. The people of long ago used to eat potatoes and butter milk and sometimes they used to eat oat meal bread for their dinner. They drunk out of wooden mugs. The table would be taken out from the wall and be left out on the middle of the floor.
- 2. The people used to take two meals a day in olden times. They consisted of porridge and potatoes and home cured bacon. They worked before breakfast about three hours. The potatoes were not eaten at every meal.
