When Arthur had scarcely rode an Irish half-mile,
Says he to "Kate Kearney" you go in great style;
I’ll raise you up high and you'll skip like a hare,
And the crowd will all cheer, "Here comes Arthur Bond’s mare”.When Arthur was coming near the winning post,
He called for the cup, until he'd drink a toast.
"Here’s a health to "Kate Kearney" and may she win still,
She’s the first brought the cup to the shades of Bondville”.When Arthur came home all with the glad news,
