  1. Mike Kelly, a poet lived in Middletown. Niall Doran was also a poet. He wrote a poem about a hunt in Clontibret and one about a bonfire.
    Kelly wrote following poem about a game cock owned by Arthur Ban (Millar) of Bondville below Middletown.
