  1. Peter McAtavy was pulling flax and his mother went down to the bog with a donkey for turf. When she had the creels full the donkey fell into the big hole & she called her son. He caught hold of the donkey & creels & landed them on the bank. Some men asked him how he did it & he answered "You would not think he was so heavy".
