    John J. Sherry (Kinnaird) owns a meadow in Alkill called "Banshag".
    Lisconduff got its name from a landlord called "Conn Duff".
    The piece of bog on road side to left going from H Tyholland to Monaghan at the foot of Clinton's hill is called Murton's bog. People named Murton lived in an old house there.
    The hill in Boylan's land, Garron and marching Roche's land now belonging to Frank Ronaghan is called Garron hill.
    The hill above James McMahon's Lappin on road is called the Pillar Hill.
    In John Sherry's land Kinard, the field lying in angle between "Old Road" and a narrow lane by back & entrance to house is called Roman's Hill.
