A man worked in Dundalk Brewery.

    (continued from previous page)
came along. The minister went on and the man went his way. Then he met a bugle man. The two went together and went along the road. As they went along they met a sweep. They went to a church that was being built to sleep in. That night the people came to pay money for the building. The priest was there. When the money was all paid & lying on the table, the priest said - "We are as happy as St Michael the Archangel when he was blowing his bugle". The sweep said to the bugle man "Blow your bugle". Then the sweep jumped up and as he was a black as soot, he scared the life out of the people for they thought he was the d----. They all made off & left the money. The three men got up then lifted the money and divided it between them.
