    Because he is the "longest in bed.

    And it's a beggarly residence where I am not.
    A chair.
    Why is a jeweller like a jailer? One sells watches and the other watches cells.
    Why is a farmer said to be rude to his corn?
    Because he pulls its ears.
    Why is a policeman like an aeroplane?
    They both take up people.
    What is the lightest county in Ireland?
    Co. Cork.
    What's full but holds more? A pot of potatoes.
    Why is a teacher like a train driver?
    One trains the mind and the other minds the train.
    Why does a hen pick a pot?
    Because she can't lick it.
    What is the most humble thing in the house? A clock, because it always keeps its hands before its face
