    Of course it is a lovely place,
    Its beauty would you thrill,
    It really looks like fairy land.
    From the top of the highest hill.

    And when its Xmas in this place,
    People hurry to and from,
    With joy and merry laughter,
    As from our shop they go.

    And it is nice at holy midnight,
    As the people go to mass,
    Wishing each other a happy Xmas,
    With a smile from each lass.

    To the north of this church the schools stand.
    Not far from the public road.
    With graceful hills on either hand
    Quite near to my abode.

    From the meadow of the Turks it got its name,
    Where they lived long ago,
    They were savage-like and we're not tame,
    And would attack anything especially
