    or Friday as they were supposed to be unlucky days. Tuesday and Thursday were the usual days and supposed to be the luckiest. The usual time for marriages was during the Shrove. June was also supposed to be a lucky month.
    It was said to be very unlucky if the bride tore her dress or any other article of her clothing on the day of her marriage. If the bride had not all her belongings taken to her new home before Lent she had to wait until Lent was over as it was said to be unlucky to remove her articles during that time.
