    the bride should wear "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue". When the parties were leaving for the church someone threw an old shoe after them and when they were leaving the church after getting married they threw rice over them.
    The couple never went to Mass the first Sunday after getting married as it was said to be unlucky.
