It's said that the present Lord Granard's father did something to a forest and that he was cursed with vermin.
There were men brushing the lice off him with hard brooms to ease the itch and to clean him and no matter how much the brushes off him the lice became as heavy as ever on him. They could not cure him from the [plague?] of lice. The eat and eat him and the body became rotten. The smell of his dead body was awful and it was with difficulty they got any one to bury him.
