    I asked Michael Hanagan of Cormongan aged 74 and Joseph Rourke of Shancurry if they ever heard of Booleying cattle or why it called Booley na beena and they could not tell me anything.

  2. Halloween - Colcannon. Potatoes boiled after peeling off the skin and washing. Then pounded with pounder. Served out on a large dish and plenty of butter in hole in top. Members sat round it and ate with spoons.
    St Martin's Eve. Kill a hen for St Martin and sprinkle the blood on door step.
    Shraft. Pancakes for supper.
    Easter Sunday. Eggs for all meals.
