In connection with the foregoing story, it is held locally and handed down that there is a pot of gold at the foot of Drumlegere hill beside Lough Acres in the garden which was attached to the cabin of the slaughtered Dons. No body found it as yet.
One night a man called Mac a Nally dreamt of it and saw the place near a tree or bush in his dream.
He came next day to dig for it and a noise was heard by McaNally.
Fear came on him and he made off and the gold is there still.
