    The name of my townland is Gortnalibret, The parish is Cloon Clare, the diocese of Kilmore and the barony of Lisclogher. Some say Gortnalibret means "the field of the hares"
    There are twenty houses in this townland which are inhabited and three others which are waste. They are Hugh Mac Morrow's and Annie Rooney's There is another house called "the old house" because the people that lived in it have left it and got a new one built. It is about eight years since thy left it. There names
