  1. Long ago when there were no country shops as there are nowadays. The people had to go to Manorhamilton for their groceries. They brought home with them as much groceries as did them one week. When they went to town the brought about five or six pounds of butter with them and they sold it to the shopkeepers and for the price of it they bought their groceries.
    Nowadays in all districts there are three of four country
