  1. Most children spend the greater part of their time in making toys. One favourite one was the spinny jinny. It was made from a spool. One end of the spool is peared into a point. Then there is a little stick put into the hole in the spool. The end of the stick is peared round and it is on the round end the spinny jinny is spun. Long ago when it was in full swing to make it nice it used to be painted in different colours. There was no contest with the spinny jinny.
