  1. One night about eleven o'clock my father was coming home from the fair. He was riding a horse. As he was coming up a hill he saw in the middle of the hill a man dressed in black. The horse would not go by this man after a while he trotted by him. My father looked back to see was the man there all the time but he had disappered. So my father came home and never heard of the man since. It is
